25,000 lb hydraulic brake press installation in South Carolina

Offloading, levelling and anchoring a 25,000 lb hydraulic brake press where a sloped, potholed ramp ruled out a direct trailer approach.

USA

Moving a 25,000 lb press without a usable trailer ramp

The client needed a 25,000 lb hydraulic brake press unloaded and moved into position, but there was no accessible trailer ramp. The existing ramp was both sloped and riddled with potholes, posing significant safety risks and potential equipment damage during the heavy equipment installation.

VersaLift, 15,000 lb forklift, rigging booms and lifting bar combined for controlled movement

The team combined a VersaLift with a 15,000 lb forklift, multiple rigging booms and a heavy-duty lifting bar. The VersaLift provided height and reach, the forklift added lifting capacity, the rigging booms allowed precise manoeuvring over the uneven terrain and the lifting bar secured the handling of the press. Movements were deliberately slow and controlled until the press reached its final location, where it was levelled and anchored, with safety protocols followed throughout.
