Consumer Goods

New lines and moves, timed to every launch.

Industrial delivery for consumer goods manufacturing

For consumer goods manufacturers, launch dates and production volumes are fixed well in advance, and new equipment, line upgrades and factory moves often have to be delivered while existing output continues. Beck & Pollitzer delivers the installation, modification and relocation work needed to bring new and upgraded production lines into service.

Our consumer goods experience includes work for Procter & Gamble, Kimberly-Clark, Dr. Oetker and Zott International, spanning food and beverage, household appliance and hygiene-product manufacturing across international markets. The same site team manages each programme from initial equipment survey through to commissioning, giving one point of contact throughout the work.

Four areas of coverage

Consumer goods manufacturing spans distinct production environments, each placing different demands on installation, integration and production continuity.

Food & beverage production systems

Food and beverage facilities combine process machinery, silos, piping, material handling and supporting structures across connected production areas. New installations, plant upgrades and process-line changes are delivered through our process and production-line equipment installation, from initial positioning through to full production start-up.

  • Mixers, blenders and process vessels
  • Silos, tanks and ingredient-handling systems
  • SS 304 pipework, platforms and supporting structures
  • Filtration, exhaust-air handling and conveying systems

Household appliance manufacturing

Household-appliance production relies on connected assembly equipment, utilities and material-handling systems operating across multiple stages, where individual assets have to keep their exact position and sequence through any move. Complete line transfers and factory consolidations draw on our appliance production-line transfer.

  • Major appliance and white-goods assembly lines
  • Robotic production cells and conveyor systems
  • Mechanical, electrical and piping disconnection
  • Reassembly, setting and production start-up support

Hygiene & high-speed consumer production

High-speed hygiene and personal-care lines combine sensitive production equipment, tightly controlled tolerances and demanding installation schedules, where machinery, acoustic enclosures and utilities all have to be positioned to fine tolerances. High-speed line positioning and dimensional verification supports the checks these lines depend on.

  • High-speed production-line installation
  • Precision equipment positioning and alignment
  • Acoustic enclosures and supporting structures
  • Aspiration systems and palletising equipment

Consumer goods plant relocation & consolidation

Consumer goods manufacturers may need to consolidate production, transfer complete lines between sites or relocate a factory internationally while protecting launch dates and machine-to-utility interfaces. Consumer-goods production transfer and consolidation brings equipment survey, dismantling, logistics, reinstallation and commissioning together within a single programme.

  • International production-line transfers
  • Equipment survey, dismantling and packing
  • Heavy-lift rigging using mobile cranes and forklifts
  • Reinstallation, commissioning and start-up support

Programme delivery & site safety

Consumer goods programmes often continue running production while installation work takes place nearby, with multiple contractors, OEM teams and utilities sharing the same footprint. Through contractor and production-window coordination, equipment arrivals, contractor access and production windows are aligned to the programme schedule. Isolations, lifting activity and hygiene zoning are managed through hygiene-zone and simultaneous-work safety controls, with site activities planned around operating production areas.

Need to know more?

Answers to common questions about our approach, delivery and expertise.
Can Beck & Pollitzer support both food and non-food consumer goods manufacturing?

Yes. Our consumer goods work spans food and beverage, household appliances, hygiene and personal-care manufacturing. The delivery model is adapted to each production environment, from sanitary and hygiene-controlled facilities to high-speed assembly and packaging operations.

How do you install machinery in food and beverage facilities without disrupting hygiene or food-safety standards?

Installation is planned around stainless-steel and sanitary-grade fittings, controlled access and the facility’s own hygiene protocols. On one food-manufacturing project in India, 95 personnel installed interconnecting stainless-steel pipework and a 110-tonne platform structure alongside insulation and supporting works. See Production line installation for a large food manufacturer in India.

Can you integrate specialist process equipment with wider production systems?

Yes. Specialist process systems can be installed alongside conveyors, platforms, utilities and supporting production equipment as part of one coordinated programme. On a coffee-roasting plant in Sweden, a 20-person specialist team worked across a year-long programme covering dust filtration, green-coffee systems, roasting machinery, exhaust-air purification, steel platforms and conveyors. See Precision assembly for a coffee-roasting plant in Sweden.

Can you manage international relocations where machines need to keep their exact production sequence?

Yes. Equipment surveys, including 3D scanning where useful, support accurate reassembly at the destination. One documented programme relocated 13 refrigerator production lines and more than 250 machines between two countries, coordinated across three Beck & Pollitzer branches.

Can installation work be phased around continuous, high-volume production without stopping the line?

Yes. Work is sequenced into agreed windows around the production schedule, with equipment positioned, connected and tested while adjacent lines keep running. Isolations, temporary barriers and access controls separate live production areas from the installation zone, and mechanical and electrical tie-ins are scheduled for the shortest practical stoppage, so restart dates are protected throughout the programme.
