Delivering millimetre-accurate tank installation without extending a client’s production downtime.

The Challenge
A single day, zero margin for error
Manufacturers upgrading production lines need new equipment placed to exact tolerances without extending the downtime windows their operations are scheduled around. Our team in Poland supported a Tier 1 food manufacturing client with exactly that kind of tightly scoped installation.
The constraint here wasn’t scale, it was precision and time. Three oversized production tanks needed offloading, staging and installation onto pre-set anchor points to millimetre accuracy, all within a single working day.
Our Solution
Rigging and alignment, completed in a single day
Given there was no room to extend the schedule, Beck & Pollitzer sequenced every stage before equipment arrived on site, applying advanced rigging techniques to carry the tanks from delivery through to operational readiness in one continuous window. A four-person team, one project engineer and three mechanical fitters, working with a 5-tonne forklift and crane, moved through the sequence in order:
Offloaded and sequence-staged the three oversized production tanks |
Moved each tank to its final installation point |
Completed vertical alignment using optical levelling and precision plumbing tools |
Positioned tanks onto pre-set anchor bolts to millimetre accuracy |

-
Offloaded and sequence-staged the three oversized production tanks
-
Moved each tank to its final installation point
-
Completed vertical alignment using optical levelling and precision plumbing tools
-
Positioned tanks onto pre-set anchor bolts to millimetre accuracy
This sequencing reflects the same industrial equipment installation discipline Beck & Pollitzer applies across projects of any scale, adapted here to a single-day window.
The Outcome
Three precision tank installations, completed in a day
With the sequencing fixed before work began, the installation was completed within 40 project hours and a single working day.
The result gave the client’s production line the equipment placement precision needed to bring the new tanks into operation on schedule.
