Installing service mezzanines, 1,444 grid cells and 36 robots after an incomplete site forced a two-month demobilisation.

The Challenge
Restarting an Autostore installation after the site was suspended on day one
The Greensboro project covered a goods-to-person Autostore system with complete mechanical and electrical installation. The planned start was suspended on the same day because the site was incomplete.
Beck & Pollitzer then loaded, transported and stored the project equipment and materials until work could restart. The project remained demobilised for two months before resuming in mid-August.
Our Solution
Equipment storage and remobilisation followed by mezzanine, grid and robot installation
After the suspension, the team managed the equipment and materials off site until remobilisation. Once work resumed, the installation scope included service and overhang mezzanines, 1,444 grid cells and 36 robots.
The installation scope was mechanical and electrical, with the work executed safely following the delayed launch.
