45-tonne NMP recovery unit installation under restricted headroom

Pre-assembling a 20-tonne NMP recovery unit on a 20 m x 8 m mezzanine before moving the 45-tonne assembled system into position with a 400-tonne gantry.

United Kingdom

Positioning a fully assembled NMP recovery system beneath restricted headroom

The battery industrialisation centre required an NMP recovery unit to be positioned in an area with restricted headroom. The unit itself weighed 20,000 kg, while the fully assembled system reached 45,000 kg.

The access condition meant the installation method had to account for both the weight of the assembled equipment and the limited vertical space at the destination.

Pre-assembly on a bespoke mezzanine followed by a 400-tonne gantry move

Working with the client and a specialist engineering team, Beck & Pollitzer pre-assembled the NMP recovery unit on a bespoke 20 m x 8 m mezzanine platform.

A 400-tonne lifting gantry was then used to move the fully assembled 45,000 kg system into its final position under the restricted headroom.
