Relocating a large laminating machine through a constrained-access route in Ukraine, using an alternative handling method where crane access wasn’t feasible.

Relocating machinery within a space-constrained packaging facility
Beck & Pollitzer is carrying out the relocation of a Nordmeccanica Duplex Combi Linear L1300 laminating machine at the client’s packaging facility in Sumy, Ukraine. The machine plays a key role in the client’s packaging production process, and space constraints at the site limited the handling methods available for dismantling and transport.
Two forklifts in tandem, led by our Chief Engineer
Given the site’s space constraints, crane handling was not feasible for the safe removal of a 6-tonne furnace. Instead, our team used two forklifts in tandem for that specific task, while the wider dismantling and transport of the laminating machine was led on-site by our Chief Engineer as part of the relocation.

Relocation underway using an alternative handling method
The relocation is being executed at the Sumy facility, where constrained access has required alternative handling methods. Two forklifts were used in tandem for the safe removal of a 6-tonne furnace where crane handling was not feasible, while the dismantling and transport of the Nordmeccanica laminating machine is being led on site by our Chief Engineer.
