Disassembling and moving four cutting machines through a two-phase programme while coordinating temporary storage, reassembly and final delivery with no end-customer downtime.

The Challenge
Sequencing four machine moves around storage, temporary reassembly and other equipment flows
The food-packaging group needed four cutting machines moved from France to Italy without interrupting the end customer. The work was split into two phases and had to be coordinated with the receiving and dispatching of other machinery so transport capacity could be used efficiently.
Our Solution
Three machines moved in phase one before the final Tiger cutting machine followed in phase two
Phase one covered the disassembly of the Leopard, Baghera and RB4 cutting machines. Depending on the equipment route, machines were transported to logistics centres for storage or temporary reassembly before onward movement.
Phase two covered the Tiger cutting machine, including disassembly, transport and reassembly at the destination. Project sequencing aligned the dismantling and reassembly activities with other incoming and outgoing machinery movements.
