Relocating two stainless steel autoclaves into a restricted storage facility during winter, without incident or damage.

The Challenge
Relocating delicate equipment through a confined route in winter conditions
Our team relocated two stainless steel autoclaves into a restricted storage facility for a pharmaceutical manufacturer during the winter season. Each unit contained delicate components and needed careful handling to prevent damage.
The first autoclave measured 350 x 240 x 260 cm and weighed 2,500 kg, while the second measured 220 x 270 x 205 cm and weighed 850 kg. Delivery took place outdoors in -2°C conditions with light snowfall, along a delivery route with an inclined path and a sharp curve at the gate leading into the storage facility, where the designated storage slot was narrow and the warehouse was crowded.
Our Solution
A three-person team, precise route planning and partial crate handling
A dedicated team of three experienced operatives managed the relocation, carefully planning the route and applying precise manoeuvring techniques to work through the tight access. In freezing outdoor conditions, the autoclaves were unloaded, guided into the warehouse and positioned with full protection of their delicate components. The move required partial opening and re-closing of the protective crates to allow handling within the restricted pathway.

The Outcome
Both autoclaves stored safely, on time and without incident
The project was delivered on time and without incident, with both autoclaves positioned safely in their designated storage area. The move was completed despite outdoor temperatures of -2°C, light snowfall and a route combining an incline, a sharp turn at the gate and restricted space inside the warehouse.
