Reinstalling major plant equipment through north-western Ukraine winter conditions
A repeat global client required a plant dismantled a year earlier in Bischweier, Germany, to be reinstalled in Ukraine. The work included welding and assembling an 8m-wide, 600-tonne dryer and erecting an 85m chimney, with winter temperatures in the region falling below -15°C.

The project brought together Beck & Pollitzer teams from Ukraine, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania and Russia. Specialist welding support was provided for the dryer assembly as part of the machinery installation work, with welding equipment preheated using propane burners to manage the freezing conditions.
