Relocating and reassembling a 900 sq metre automated production line for electric drives.

The Challenge
Relocating a 900 sq metre automated line while dismantling and assembly ran in parallel
Our team in Germany carried out the relocation and assembly of a fully automated production line for an electric drives manufacturer, moving the 900 square metre interlinked line from Germany to France. Assembly at the French site ran at the same time as dismantling in Germany.
Our Solution
Simultaneous dismantling and reassembly, guided by laser calibration
While dismantling was under way in Germany, our team simultaneously carried out the assembly at the French destination, working from detailed technical documentation and prior measurements. Laser systems were used to calibrate the transport gantries, robot stations, gantry grippers, bending machines, gluing systems, laser welding and extraction systems, cooling tunnels, test cells and packaging units that made up the line.
